In a globalized world full of the same but different, Spiritex is. Inspired as a means to be the change that we wanted to see, our concern for sustainable and ethically minded manufacturing and equality within the global community was the catalyst that sparked the passion behind Spiritex fashion.
As trends, and even fabrics continue to evolve, Spiritex remains at the forefront of honest textiles and apparel that are just as good for the environment as they are for the people who wear them. We have enjoyed pushing the envelope of ethical fashion and locally sourced materials in order to provide the softest and most sustainable clothing and fabric made in the Carolinas.
We produce all of our fabric within 150 miles of our Asheville, NC headquarters from cotton grown in Texas by the Texas Organic Growers Co-Op. They dyes used are low impact fiber reactive and are maintained in a closed loop system. Textiles are typically bleached and dyed. We avoid bleached fibers by using a citrus scour for our naturals and a peroxide wash derived from apples for our whites. On the subject of color, we use non-radioactive, heavy metal free, fiber-reactive dyes in a closed-loop system, preventing any toxic substances from being released into the external environment and allowing unfixed dye and water to be recycled.
We can produce custom colors and blends with relatively low minimums and turn times. For more info, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
